The NIVIDIA Jetson TK1 Development Kit interfaces with a Microsoft Kinect 360 using Open Kinect. The Kinect provides 3D depth information about a scene. This information is returned as a RGB image, with the color of each pixel representing how far that image grid location is away from the Kinect camera. Here's a blog post describing the process: http://jetsonhacks.com/2014/07/14/jet... The video shows how to compile and install the OpenKinect libfreenect library to interface the Kinect with the Jetson TK1 Development Kit, as well as sample output of one of the test programs. Jetson TK1 is connected to a Plugable 7-port USB 3.0 hub, along with a mouse, keyboard and the Kinect. One gotcha on the Jetson is that the default setting is to turn off USB ports to conserve power. The workaround is to turn this setting off, which is shown in the video. The Kinect being used is one of the original Xbox 360 model 1414.
