Just How Accurate is the Oil Temperature Gauge in Your BMW?

How accurate is the digital oil temperature gauge inside of your BMW? This is what we are going to find out today, because we will be looking at this gauge, which is inside some BMW models, and inside of my 2016 F87 BMW M2. We will be running BimmerLink at the same time to display the actual temperatures, and comparing them to the simple "OK" gauge that is displayed on some BMWs. This applies to my BMW M2, because it's one of the BMWs that have this temperature gauge inside of the car. Other BMWs may not have this oil temperature gauge, or if they do, it may not work properly. I will touch on the apps BimmerLink & BimmerCode, and how they allow you to read the temperatures of my BMW M2, and how you could possibly code this gauge inside of your own BMW, so long as it works in your car. To be able to use BimmerCode or BimmerCode, you will need a Bluetooth adapter for the OBD port, and here's my recommendation for an adapter that I've used for 3 years.
