We understand that your baby’s birth is an intensely personal experience, and we want to empower you to choose the type of delivery you prefer. MarinHealth is one of the few systems in Marin and San Francisco Counties to offer both midwives and OB/GYNs for prenatal care and delivery, and we have both on site at the Medical Center 24/7. Midwives and Physicians are licensed, highly regulated healthcare providers, but their skill sets and philosophies are a little different. To ensure the best possible care for all infants, our interdisciplinary team meets twice a day to discuss every tiny patient. No matter which you choose, you’re in excellent hands and you can count on wonderful pregnancy care, maternity care, and support after delivery. In our Family Birth Center, we have 19 luxurious new private labor/delivery/recovery/postpartum rooms. Rooms are spacious and equipped with a refrigerator, rocking chair, TV, and a foldout couch for spouse, partner, or labor coach. Each room has a private bathroom with a spa shower and pull-down seat.
