Reinventing experiential learning | Martin Aguirre Lanner | TEDxColegioAngloColombiano

Experiential learning is one of the best modern day learning techniques because it is a strategy used to unite theory and practice and it generates in-depth understanding. Virtual reality allows a person to live a real life experience in an artificial environment. What if we connected both? This would generate a phase that takes us farther than knowledge. It deepens our understanding. Technology has been a huge facilitator to learning in the last couple of decades and it has taken us to places where we have never been to before. With virtual reality, we can take children from the classroom to anywhere around the world, so they can, more than see places, live them. This isn't only about knowing, it's about living and understanding in order to learn. I was born in Colombia in 2002. I live by the accomplishment of small goals that lead to a greater goal. I have a great interest for education, social, political, economical, and technological development. I want to be able to contribute as much as I can to the people of my country, and to use education as a way of uniting and realising the full potential of our world. I live for change, for new opportunities and new perspectives. Curiosity, creativity, persistence, responsibility and conviction are the words that best describe me.
