The main idol in this Temple Sita, Rama and Lakshman were consecrated by the Bear King Jaambavaan who is one of the important character of Ramayanam. Theses three main deities were carved out of a single rock and because of that, this place is called as Ekasila Nagaram (ie. the city of one stone).
