Woodturning - The Grumpy Goose

You can almost hear this goose hissing at an unsuspecting passerby. I’ve been hissed at by many a Canada goose and after seeing a photograph of one of the original Danish goose figurines, couldn’t resist making one of these for myself. Not surprisingly, I saw that first photograph while scrolling through the results of an image search on an unrelated topic. The wood goose in that image was attributed to Kay Bojeson https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kay_Boj... When I followed the link associated with the image, I discovered an entire world of mid-century modern Danish figurines. Many of which either were or could be made on a wood lathe. This video is a salute to the sublimely proportioned Danish originals and was inspired by the goose in the photograph that got me started down the Danish mid-century modern figurine rabbit hole.
