Bolpur Trip :Part 1. Shantiniketan. Sonajhuri . Ram-Shyam Villege Resort

Bolpur is a city and a municipality in the Birbhum district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is the headquarters of the Bolpur subdivision. Bolpur municipal area includes Santiniketan, Sriniketan and Prantik. The city is known as a Cultural and Educational hub of West Bengal. The city is under the Jurisdiction of Bolpur and Santiniketan Police stations. Bolpur is the largest and most populous city in Birbhum district and 28th most populous city in West Bengal. Located on the banks of Ajay River and Kopai (Sal) River, Bolpur has been a major Human settlement. We went to Bolpur on 17th June in 2022 from our home in Konnagar(Hooghly District). We started at 7 am in the morning and we had to cover approximately 150 Kms. We took first stop at Nabanna Hotel in Singur for having tea. Then we drove to East Bardhaman and then had our breakfast in Depara. We reached our resort "Ram Shyam Village Resort " around 12 pm in the morning. Then we checked into our 4 Beded AC room , the room was ready and available. We quickly refresh ourselves and took bath. Then we went to Hotel Restaurant for having our lunch with Veg Thali and with Galda Chingri and chicken. After that, we rested for some time as it was raining for cats & dogs. Then we started our trip towards Shantiniketan. We took a TOTO and visited all the places there, it took more than 2 hours for us to visit all the places. While returning we went to the Banks of River Khowai and spend a good amount of time. In the evening we went to the Main Bazar area, tested some chicken Momo and Kathi Roll in Jamai Momom Stall near SBI ATM. Then returned to our resort, we took dinner in our resort.
