OIL PAINTING - Studio Alla Prima oil study of an atmospheric sky with beach reflections Painting a seascape in oils in my studio. This is a small oil on board (10"x8") based on one of my plein air sketches at Gwithian, Cornwall. The following colours were used for this alla prima painting: Cobalt blue, Ultramarine blue, Cerulean blue, Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium red, Cadmium yellow, Lemon yellow, Burnt Umber, Yellow Ochre, Violet I had a mix of stand oil and turps which I dipped into from time to time but generally kept the paint 'dry' using flat and filbert brushes with some smaller rounds for last touches. I love working from sketches as I find it keeps it fresh and stops me overworking details. Thanks for watching. Please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you enjoyed.
