A great little device to help convert Analog to digital. I can see many different reasons to use this, but for me, it will mainly be there to help me on old camcorder tape capture nights!! Yeah, call me sad! I was disappointed that a coax cable wasn't thrown in. And I had to cut a chunk of the video out as I wasn't happy that there was no power light on the back of the device like every other small factor converter out there... then I noticed after filming that there is a power light but it's on the top not the back like the others. I say, if everyone else puts it on the back there is a reason. Yeah, that's where we, technicians look! So I can imagine during a live event if I lost sound I would be frantically checking everything as quickly as possible. I would have to remember that this one item has its power on top. To me a silly place to put the light as if it's part of a setup it would probably be slid down the side of something due to its small size. But this might just be me... I did find myself playing with it after I filmed it and I can see lots of combos with other devices. All in all, a great build at a high quality... I just don't like the power light placement. I hooked this up to a device in a previous video and had a play, finding some fun combos and different ways of splitting and converting signals.
