Hello Grundites! Bernie here. Today we have something very special to share with you, an early release of the Super Deluxe Edition of the 1964 record "Beatles for Sale." Giles was very kind to share this exclusively with us MONTHS in advance while he's wrapping up the release of Anthology 4. This edition is expected to release early 2026, around March or so. From Giles: "'Beatles for Sale' is one of the most severely underrecognized entries in The Beatles' discography. From tracks like No Reply to I'll Follow the Sun, 'Beatles for Sale' finds the band in a very unique state. You can hear the gears turning that would ultimately reveal themselves on albums like Rubber Soul and Revolver. We thought it was about time to give the album a new showcase, remixing and remastering the full album to fit better with the times, as well as the inclusion of a vast array of outtakes. In fact, we discovered two tapes that were thought to be lost to time in the basement of Paul McCartney's attic. These tapes were entitled Madryn and Fazakerly respectively, although it unsure what tape the new songs included here are precisely from.
