Hey everyone, today I'm showing you how to grow oat and millet grass for hamsters. It's easy and fun to do even if you're always accidentally killing plants somehow (like me)! 😐 I hope you enjoy the video! 😄 ★~ Here is a link to the coconut soil I used: https://a.co/d/6BmRhz8 As I have been for doing months and months, I'm also typing this description very late. It's 1am and I'm fighting my eyes to stay open, but oh well. I feel like there are 3 types of people; animal people, plant people, and plant+animal people. I myself am an animal person. I LOVE animals with all my heart and they are some of the best things in the world. 😤 I have pets and I really enjoy taking care of them. I am not, however, a plant person. Plants are cool but they always die on me. I had a cactus once, it died. I had a succulent once, it died too. RIP. So, the only reason I'm growing plants is literally for my hamster. 🤣 I used to think a lot of people were really only good at taking care of one or the other. For example, some of my relatives are great at keeping plants alive, yet they don't own pets. BUT THEN I realized there are those insane individuals who own both. HOW? To the plant+animal owners, you people are crazy! Like, how do you become good at taking care of both!? Madness. So, I applaud you guys. 👏 If you don't own either, by the way, that sounds very sad. You should grow some oat or millet grass, and look, you're even on the perfect video for that! 😉 I guess you could just buy some seeds from a store and grow a pumpkin or something.... I mention plants first because, uh, don't make my ant prison mistake lol. ⬇️ Once, I kept bugs I found as "pets" when I was younger to compromise the fact that I wasn't allowed to get a pet. "Kept as pets" is kind of an understatement, it was more like kept as prisoners. At one time, I had these poor ants in a empty plastic water bottle. 😅 I put a little stick in there and tossed in some lettuce or something, which they never did seem to eat. The best part (or should I say the worst part) is that I put WATER in there. Not a lot, but a couple drops because my tiny mind was like, "they need to drink!" Looking back, ants get water from the things they eat, right? This eventually led to their demise. Anyways, I had to screw on the lid of this bottle so they couldn't escape. I didn't want ants crawling all over my room. But, every so often, I would unscrew the lid of the bottle to give them "air". THIS "AIR" CONSISTED OF ME BREATHING INTO THE BOTTLE. So, basically, these ants are breathing in straight carbon dioxide. I distinctly remember one day that I came back from my cousin's house and the ants had sadly died. I mean, no wonder. They died and on top of that there was this fuzzy white mold in the bottle, too (probably due to the old leaves and excess water) 🤦♀️. I probably only had those poor ants for 3 days but it felt like an eternity. I was actually very sad when they died. So thus, my unintentional torture of bugs ended a long time ago. What an awful story 😅, I hope you liked it. 😬 The end. That's really all I've got to say, so see you tomorrow when this whole thing gets uploaded. #hamsters #plants #DIY #grow #hamsterfood #fun #easy
