luckiest moment of my life... I started this journey many months ago, but I wasn't able to get the star even with savestates for a very long time. After about 8h of practice I got the star once with states. From there on I tried to get a bit more consistent, but I absolutly couldn't get it down, that's why I was way too unmotivated to start serious attempts. I got the star once from the first switch after almost 25h of practice. A few more hours of practice later I still didn't feel motivated to start serious attempts and I rather wanted to stream something else, but I said (as a joke) I will stream this if I get the ending within 3 attempts and I actually got it after 2 tries. I just wanted to do some warmup attempts before I start streaming and somehow got the star after less than 10 min. Since sometimes I mixed practice and attempts, I attempted the star for about 1h in total and only had 8 chokes to the switches and 1 to the firsties. I would've never expected to ever get this lucky. It may just look like a double firsty at the end, but it's a lot more precise than that. For sure the hardest trick I have ever done in sm64.
