After unboxing the beautiful black cap toe Oxfords from Dominic Casey a few days ago, Kirby Allison goes through the all important first shine for the brand new shoes, making sure they get a beautiful mirror shine! Dominic Casey has worked in London in the bespoke shoe trade for the past 35 years. Initially trained as an orthopedic shoemaker with James Taylor and Son. Dominic Casey worked as a freelancer making a wide variety of shoes, from ladies bespoke fashion wear for Georgina Goodman and George Deliss to long riding boots for Terry Moore at Foster’s and has spent the last 10 years shoemaking at George Cleverley traveling extensively throughout the USA. Dominic Casey opened his own atelier this year in Mayfair, London and makes all the work himself in his workshop in Sussex concentrating on classic English styling and strong traditional last shapes and proportions.
