Hello Amigos and Amigas in this beautiful day🫡 Today, I visit a truly special local churrasqueira in Peniche, Portugal called Churrasqueira Moreira — and I think it might just serve the best meat in the world! 🇵🇹🔥 Thank you Bill for suggesting! I tried two amazing dishes: 🍗 Frango da Guia – a Portuguese-style grilled chicken 🥩 Pork Spare Ribs – juicy, tender, and with lot of flavor And to make it even better – the boss and staff were super friendly and cool! You really feel welcome when you walk in, and that makes the whole experience even more special🙌 Thank you, guys! So: 🐓 What is Frango da Guia? Frango da Guia is a traditional Portuguese chicken dish, originally from the Algarve, but loved across the country. The chicken is butterflied, marinated with garlic, lemon, paprika, chili, and other spices, and grilled over charcoal. At Churrasqueira Moreira, they use a secret recipe, and the result is next-level: crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and full of smoky, spicy, and tangy flavor🔥 Next: 🐖 Pork Spare Ribs Done Right The grilled pork ribs were out of this world. They’re marinated in a special spice mix (also secret!), and grilled slowly for that perfect combination of charred crust and tender meat. You can taste ingredients like garlic, pepper, oregano, maybe wine or vinegar🤔, and definitely some Portuguese piri-piri to add – but the exact mix is a mystery. The flavor? Pure magic✨ Also: 🌶️ Secret Marinades & Homemade Hot Sauce This place is all about flavor. Every dish uses homemade marinades and a spicy house hot sauce that’s totally unique🌶️ The hot sauce is HOT but not too hot – probably made with piri piri, oil and some herbs. It pairs perfectly with the grilled meats and gives every bite an extra kick. In the end, of course, I ate dessert. This episode's hero is Baba de Camelo😁💯 Honestly, this was some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in Portugal – maybe even in the world.
