Day 9 & 10 - Sunset Point Campground, Harrington, ME.

11 & 12 Sept. 2013 - Launching Earth Shuttle Columbia - This is Day 9 & 10 of our 3 week trip in our new T@B Teardrop camper. It's Columbia's maiden voyage and we're heading up to New England. We camped at Sunset Point Campground up in Harrington which is just north of Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island. It's a small but clean and beautiful place to stay with working WiFi so we stayed for 2 nights. There is a perimeter trail that offers good water views and a floating dock to facilitate kayaking in the area. The owner Kurt, provides a wonderful service ... he will steam and deliver fresh lobster to your campsite, ready to eat for $7 per Lb. We had two beautiful specimens for dinner for a total of $18. The bathrooms and showers were clean and Kurt was very friendly, although a bit camera shy :-) The facility had a very relaxed and casual atmosphere with camping neighbors very open to friendly conversation. Not far down the coast, we ate at a roadside eaterie, Joshie's Place which had great food at great prices.
