Rereading my diary from a year ago reminded me of how far I had come on my chronic illness journey. I reflect on the medicines that I credit with saving my quality of life, Remicade and azathioprine. It is my Crohn's Disease Vlog or Chronic Illness Blog. My hope is that these videos can be informative to others who are seeking information about Crohn's and the treatments available to them. Be prepared, I tell it like it is, so these videos will go into pretty graphic detail about the "butt stuff." Since January I had two EUAs (Exam Under Anesthesia) that resulted in one partial fistulotomy and two setons (drains) being placed. Those were to repair two anal fistulas. Two colonoscopies and two MRIs. I began Remicade infusions in mid-March and by May I felt like I was getting my life back.
