Bengaluru, February 15: Thousands of devotees gathered at the 6th Annual Maha Shivaratri Mahotsav organised by Mahalingeshwara Seva Trust at Shishugruha Poornaprajna Playground, transforming the area into a vibrant hub of spiritual devotion in Bengaluru. Trust President Bellippadi Gunaranjan Shetty conveyed Maha Shivaratri greetings and thanked devotees and the media for their continued support over six years. A key highlight was the special rituals performed by priests from Mahakaleshwar Temple, led by chief priest Roopam Joshi. Ceremonies such as Panchamruta Abhisheka, Mahakaleshwar Alankara, and the captivating Bhasma Aarti drew large crowds. The celebrations began with purification rites, Shiva Linga consecration, and homa-havana. Organisers arranged 24-hour distribution of nutritious millet-based prasadam, along with panaka, buttermilk, tea, and coffee. Over one lakh devotees are expected to receive prasadam. After the evening Rathotsava, a night-long cultural vigil featuring classical music, dance, and folk devotional programmes kept devotees spiritually engaged. Special facilities were provided for senior citizens, ensuring smooth darshan for all. #MahaShivaratri2026 #HALBengaluru #ShivaBhakti #SpiritualCelebration #MahalingeshwaraSevaTrust #BhasmaAarti #UjjainMahakaleshwar #ShivaratriMahotsav #DevotionAndFaith #CulturalVigil #PrasadamSeva #DivineBlessings #BengaluruEvents #HarHarMahadev
