My personal story of surviving placenta accreta's more advanced version, placenta percreta, after a complete placenta previa diagnosis and preterm delivery is NOT medical advice. I'm not a doctor or nurse, just a real mom who survived her 5th delivery with her preemie daughter -- and this is what I'd share with you if we were real life best-friends. Imagine being told at your 20-week ultrasound there would be a decent shot you and your baby both wouldn't make it? Yeah, that's where I was when I was pregnant with Milli. Recent stats put placenta accreta at 1 out of every 272 deliveries thanks to rising c-section rates, so anyone who has ever delivered by cesarean or had an IUD should probably watch this. My baby was born beyond 30 weeks, which was an incredible hurdle, but many moms don't get to hold on for quite as long, and every bit of information and community they can find is a rare gem they need for fighting the most intense battle of their lives. This video will walk you through my accreta diagnosis, what placenta percreta means, how it relates to placenta increta and placenta previa. What a c-hyst entails, pregnancy spotting and bleeding, preterm delivery, babies born around 30 weeks, and more. I'd love to see the survivor stats rise and the number of women afflicted with accreta go down, so feel free to ask questions -- I'll do my best to answer from my own personal experience.
