The easiest way to beat this mission is being a Ranger. If the huge cannon doesn't come out after destroying the first Teleportation Ship, you either haven't been close enough to it or the radio dialogue isn't over. The fastest way to get rid of the cannon is the Brute's Dauntless Gun. The Dauntless is also great to kill whole rows of No. 11's cannons. At least at the beginning. Later the cannons are too far away and too quick. After dropping the first shield, there will be 4 white segments circling around. Those are the Teleportation Devices that some soldier refers to. They spawn the Tadpoles. The 4 blue Tadpoles don't respawn. When you destroy the first Generator in that phase, Colonists and Cosmonauts are dropped. They are easy prey for the Dauntless when close enough. What happens in the last phase is always a bit different. Got runs where I was blasted around a lot. Got runs where the Cannons hardly bothered me. Depends on which ones you shoot down first, I guess. Dealing the core a certain amount of damage or letting a certain amount of time pass gets you a visit from 6 Aliens. Show them your Fang and be Dauntless when they get closer.
