A path is little more than a habit that comes with knowledge of a place. It is a sort of ritual of familiarity. As a form, it is a form of contact with a known landscape. It is not destructive. It is the perfect adaptation, through experience and familiarity, of movement to place; it obeys the natural contours; such obstacles as it meets it goes around. The M62 is a 107-mile-long west–east trans-Pennine motorway in Northern England, connecting Liverpool and Hull via Manchester and Leeds, and this is a second track from new Brandon Vare album for Extrapolation Records - ’Zygote Dawn’ a 13th tracks record that explores the themes of nuclear devastation, existential dread and paranoia, environmental degradation and conservation, and physical and spiritual decline and rebirth. The themes surrounding the album are presented through unique takes on industrial/noise/ambience/acid/house/krautrock, weaved together by the all engulfing fear of nuclear power and fragility of life on earth.
