TMG Creation in RAP In the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), there is no traditional Table Maintenance Generator (TMG) like in classical ABAP using SM30. Instead, TMG-like functionality is achieved by exposing a database table through a RAP Business Object with full Create, Read, Update, and Delete (CRUD) capabilities. This involves creating a CDS root view entity for the table, defining its behavior for data maintenance, and exposing it via an OData V4 service through service definition and binding. The generated Fiori Elements application then acts as a modern, browser-based equivalent of TMG, enabling end users to maintain table data with advanced features like filtering, sorting, and responsive UI.
