Head trackers (HT) are useful for wireless tilt and pan control of objects or instruments - usually cameras. HT units usually use channel 7 and 8 of RC radios but some radios have only six or less channels. The Hitec Optic 6 has only six channels and if are you already use four channels leaves one channel short for HT use. You need additional channels and the HK PPM V2 (Futaba) mixer adds two additional channels - but will it work with the Hitec Optic 6 / Corona 2.4 GHz module and the eight channel Corona CR8D-R receiver? For the test, the HK fiberglass tilt pan camera modules was assembled with servos and camera. The HK PPM mixer unit was connected to the XGY module then to the trainer port of the Optic 6. The XGY is plug and play and immediately initialized when the radio was turned on. The Optic 6 trainer port was activated and ........ better watch the video to know what happened.
