Statement of Need Our learners need the knowledge and strategies to assist in recognizing, evaluating and treating common and not so common problems presenting in a primary care setting, including when it is appropriate to refer. Objectives At the conclusion of this offering, the participant will be able to: Review the emergency department process for the evaluation of abdominal pain/appendicitis. Review the emergency department evaluation of the febrile neonate. Review the emergency department evaluation and treatment for respiratory illnesses.
