Do you ever overthink things, like I do? Or feel like you should be painting something amazing (like that other artist you've seen)? Well, this video is for you. I'm no stranger to procrastinating, even in doing the things that I love to do, like making art. So sometimes I like to just grab a couple of paints, one brush, and a sketchbook and paint something totally relaxing. It helps me take the pressure off myself to make a great painting, by just choosing to paint a single shape, pattern, line-work, or something repetitive. In this video, you'll see an example of my recent mindful exercise in watercolor, in my sketchbook, using dried up leftover watercolor paint. I'll go over the 5 benefits of creating a simple, achievable, and uncomplicated watercolor practice. As a bonus, I'll also share some ideas for mini projects inspired by this idea, and a big ah-ha moment I had when making this video for you!!
