Malswick From The Air. Amazing Transformation From 2021 to 2023. 350 Metres Of Canal In Water.

At Malswick, near Newent, Gloucestershire, a lot has changed in the last 20 months. In late 2021 we marked out the line of the canal across the fields. We started work on burying a field drain in a culvert. In 2022, with lots of help from KESCRG and WRG, we built a much larger culvert to take a small brook, and we got 2 sections of canal partially dug. In 2023 we have further dug these parts to their finished profile, and raised the low-lying land over the small culvert between them to link them together. We are now filling 350 metres of the canal with water.
