Chiranjeevi Files Case Over AI Deepfake Videos | Cyber Crime Probe Launched | News9

Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi has filed a police complaint after AI-generated deepfake and morphed obscene videos using his name and likeness surfaced online. The complaint alleges that certain websites have hosted and circulated fabricated content, falsely depicting the actor in obscene acts — causing severe and irreparable harm to his reputation. Following the complaint, a case has been registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station under relevant sections of the IT Act, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986. Chiranjeevi has also urged authorities to initiate a technical and criminal investigation against the accused websites and ensure the blocking and takedown of all such AI-generated and morphed content from the internet.
