The weekly Integral Eye Movement Techniques (IEMT) Q&A with approved trainer Matt Kendall. ---------- Why are you discrediting the new eye accessing diagram on Facebook? ---------- What is the real benefits of this over other therapies. How does the client feel after 1 session and how many sessions should a client have?? ---------- Hi Matt, I would appreciate any info on how to approach tinnitus and fear of the dentist? Have you had any success with tinnitus? ---------- I’m curious how others approach IEMT work with clients who present with emotional numbness rather than clear negative feelings. I’m working with a client who describes herself as “neutral”, “flat”, and very used to “just getting on with things”. She doesn’t experience strong emotional spikes and finds it hard to identify what she feels in her body. There’s a sense that emotional containment has been her normal way of coping for a long time. My current thinking is that numbness itself isn’t something to process directly, and that the work may sit more around identity imprints and chronic patterns such as: “I’m someone who copes” “I stay within limits” “This is just how I am” I’d love to hear from others: How do you decide whether to start with identity work versus continuing to look for underlying emotions? Do you find that identity work often allows emotions to emerge later without forcing them? Are there alternative approaches within the IEMT framework that you’ve found particularly effective for clients like this? Any perspectives or experiences would be really welcome. ---------- What do you do when someone has a lot of protector parts coming up that don’t let them feel most of the emotions or access their memories? ---------- What do you do when someone has a lot of protector parts coming up that don’t let them feel most of the emotions or access their memories? ---------- Hey Matt. What do you do when someone started doing eye movements, yet doesn't want to continue for more rounds? What do you do when an emotion you've worked on and went down to less than 2, is much higher on the follow up on next session? ---------- If someone comes to you with a limiting belief should we work on it directly, or use the I, Me, Self and You work? ---------- If someone has suicidal thoughts and is using alcohol as a coping strategy, as it safe to use identity work? ---------- For more information about becoming an IEMT Practitioner, please see https://www.iemtpractitionertraining.com
