For the past two years, the strawberries we had grown in one of our more shaded gardens had struggled. While we had initially seen good harvests, the size of the strawberries diminished, and the plants themselves looked less than healthy. After a good deal of work ammending and fertilizing the soil, we still did not have the results we wanted, and so we decided to change our methods and shift to vertical gardening. The GreenStalk Vertical Garden that we are growing is the GreenStalk Leaf Vertical Garden. This vertical garden has 7 tiers, and each tier is 7" in depth. In each of these tiers, there are 6 pockets to grow in. That means we have 42 pockets of strawberries, and in each of these pockets, we have two plants. So, in one vertical garden setup, we have 84 strawberry plants, and the results are fantastic! The plants that were initially struggling and not producing are now filled with flowers and fruits.
