Are they toothpicks ? Are they related to seahorses and sea dragons ? Whatever it may be they're one of my favourite nano fish ever ! For this fish screw the inch per gallon nonsense. I'm keeping 6 in a 45cm tank and I barely see them but they are happily breeding so smaller is better with them. Feeding is a challenge for Indostomus because of their tiny mouth and high prey drive with Daphnia or Baby Brine shrimp the ideal size food. If you are able to provide them with consistent live food this fish will thrive because they are very hardy. Indostomus are shrimp-friendly but the tiniest of new-born shrimplets. They should be kept with small and slow species such as Darios and Boraras as they aren't the fastest eaters and would be easily outcompeted or eaten by bigger fish.
