I think my fascination with India first began when I was about 6 or 7. I remember my primary school teacher showing us a film about Divali, the festival of lights.... glitter effect, sitar strike - clip of Diwali Music has always played a huge roll in my life and when I first heard the very exotic sounds of India something stuck in my mind. Last year I finally visited the country and wow - it was incredible. At the end of the trip I did not want to leave. And so this time I have come back and decided to stay for six month's so I could explore India in much greater depth. I love taking photos and videos when I travel but never really end up doing anything with them. I thought creating this YouTube series would be a fun project. I hope you enjoy watching the episodes and that they encourage you to visit this incredible country and experience all the wonderful things that it has to offer. We heard about a nightime bazaar that was taking place locally so we decided to check it out... and that's where we experienced Delhi's traffic for the first time.... After a lot of walking against oncoming traffic we eventually we arrived and I think we must have been the only westerners there as everybody was staring at us. All evening people kept saying hi and asking us if we liked India. It was great to see their faces light up when we told them we loved their country! As we walked through the grounds we saw dancers, rides and loads of stalls. It was very late in the evening but there was still lots of children around and the atmosphere felt very friendly and safe. As a traveller in India people will often go out of their way to make sure you are OK. Whilst heading back to our guest house we got caught in the middle of a busy junction and couldn't find a safe time to cross. A guy got out of his car, put his hand in front of moving vehicles and guided us accross the road! Although my camera was switched on I wasn't really paying much attention to what I was filming. I was trying not getting ran over... So sadly I didn't manage to capture him on camera. But huge thanks to him for helping us! Indians have excellent music and having a good playlist ready for long car journeys is a great way to break the ice and make friends with the drivers. After visiting The Taj Mahal I met a very friendly French guy called Seb, say hello Seb: We spent the rest of the day exploring Agra and made plans to again meet up later in our travels. See you in Varanasi Seb! Whoops random camel! I hope you have enjoyed this episode. Please subscribe to my channel. In the episode I will be visiting Vrindavan, the city of temples. If you have any suggestions or tips for travelling India I would love to hear from you. Please comment below. Thank you so much for watching. :-)
