Didn't get enough of this during the CLASH? ------------------------- Today's CDP is an opportunity for me to let the SPYRAL build shine with a few small tweaks, now that Clash of the TCG WPs miniseries ( • Clash of the TCG WPs: Simulated Tournament ) wrapped up, so let's get into what this deck offers. The SPYRAL archetype has a ton of powerful stars, but the most consistent characteristic across the archetype is that SPYRAL Super Agent and SPYRAL Double Helix let you guess the top card of the opponent's deck to extend your board. Once you do, SPYRAL Quik-Fix will begin to continuous recur from your GY, tutoring a SPYRAL GEAR card each time, at the small cost of a discard. The only concern is that you will want to overlay two copies of Quik-Fix into a R1NK Summon first, so that they aren't banished when they leave the field - but that's not a concern when your R1NK options get you additional card advantage for doing so! In addition to this pressure, the SPYRAL also have a few tricks that can mess up certain opponents, such as summoning SPYRAL Double Agent to the opponent's board or using SPYRAL GEAR - Utility Wire to spin a face-up card to the top of their deck. But without SPYRAL Master Plan, this deck needed some more power, so I turned to the Fiendsmith! That's right, the Fiendsmith are back baby, and this time they've brought an additional Fusion crew along for the ride. What do I mean by that? Well Fiendsmith's Sequence still has all of its normal options available, but I've augmented those with The Duke of Demise - in case you draw too many monsters - and Luce the Dusk's Dark. Luce also happens to be one of the best options to summon with Mutiny in the Sky, giving you even more recovery than most Fiendmsith variants get the opportunity to. Together with the standard D/D/D Wave High King Caesar and Fiendsmith's Desirae, this deck has all of the utility needed to win the Cold War of attrition in just about any matchup. Now one more thing I'll cover about this build is that the build I presented has a fully-built sidedeck as well, setup to allow you to smokescreen when going 2nd. With this smokescreen, you can swap out all of the Fiendsmith main deck cards (3 Engraver, 1 Lacrima, 1 Lurrie, 1 Tract, 1 Sanct, 1 Paradise) for the Ashened, Bot Herder, and Mimighoul engines, and/or thin out some of the rest of the lineup to include Ash Blossom or Santa Claws. All of these give your deck a much better chance at breaking the opponent's board by turning it against them; boy is it fun to pull off when your opponent least expects it. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed today's TCG-Legal build after so many CDPS this month that look forward to new cards, but we got one more TW03 theme to cover next, so be sure to check back for that! ------------------------- Links: https://ygorganization.com/creative-d... - Creative Deck Archetype Archive of all of my builds https://spellbook.life/decks/quincymccoy - Living Repository of IRL deckbuilds Disclaimers & Requests: -YGOrganization is not currently affiliated with any online simulator and does not promote their use over any official platform. -If you are interested in seeing a specific archetype or strategy on my channel, or would like to request a future CDP, feel free to drop me a comment here, on any of my articles, or through our Discord.
