This one is one of my absolute favorite deleted scenes from Wish! The original length of this you can see on the digital release or DVD, but I wanted to share a portion of it for you all to see. Not only do I love the little Voltron reference with the mice and the teens falling through the gates, I love how Star still loves Asha, even in the little plus his form. He even had more personality and charm in this. Plus the Teens 7 Dwarves references actually show in their personalities here, and there was no twist with Simon. This scene shows Asha, Star, Valentino and the Seven (or actually 6 here) go through the sewers to reach the castles dungeon in order to free Asha's mother and grandfather from Magnifico. While there, they find a boy named Flazino who used to be Maginifico's apprentice, until he stole and broke Flazino's wish, resulting in him getting sick and being sent to this prison. Star uses his healing powers (which he no longer has in the final version) to restore Flazino health. In a bit after this, Asha finds Dhalia who now works in the dungeon. She was sent there because Magnifico told her she wasn't useful to him because of her disability and sends her where no one will see her or be an eyes sore. Dahlia's admiration for the king and queen dissipates after this and she joins Asha, Star and the Teens to defeat Magnifico. This part was changed because Asha had too many friends with 8, and execs thought 7 was enough. Also, they decided that Amaya should be a good guy and be a source of info on how to stop the king. Star could also change to this plus his form when he needed to shrink down, and just couldn't speak in that form. The small star form would later become permanent in the final filn. This scene worked much better to lean into the revolution segment of the movie, but they wanted to make another song for the change instead. WHY WOULD YOU CHANGE A PLOT IMPORTANT PART OF THE STORY!?
