We are Angie (🇦🇺) and Remy (🇫🇷), co-founders of the Floating Stories Lab Association, hand-building a 41ft Wharram Wooden Catamaran in Brittany, France, as a circumnavigating vessel for research, storytelling, and citizen science. Over the next few years, we will be documenting our journey hand building this Polynesian-inspired double canoe—a Wharram Designs Narai Mk IV—sharing all the highs and lows, learning as we go. In this first episode, you'll meet us and step into our work site at Cap Solidarité in Finistère South, as we prepare the site for the boat build but then get struck down by a shocking tragedy. You'll then meet some of our incredible volunteers who help get the first important pre-build projects off the ground: 1. Constructing a level building floor 2. Building a lofting table Learn more about the FSL association, the boat, our citizen science projects and become a member: https://www.floatingstorieslab.org/
