Peyto Lake is famous for its vivid turquoise color and among the easily-accessible lakes in the Canadian Rockies in Banff National Park, Alberta. It is located off the Icefields Parkway or Highway 93N, 40 kilometres northwest of Lake Louise. It has the main viewing platform a few minutes walk from the parking lot which is wheelchair accessible and family friendly and another less-busy lookout 20-minute walk from the parking lot. Both offer magnificent views of the vivid turquoise lake, Peyto Peak and Glacier, Caldron Peak, Mount Patterson, the Wapta icefield to name a few.
