Asics Evoride After 100 Miles

Initially, I thought the Evoride was a confusing shoe. It's part of the Ride family of Asics shoes, alongside the Metaride and the Glideride, but it didn't feel anything like the Metaride. And it didn't seem to really like being run at speeds that I would associate with the Metaride. But I quickly realized that this wasn't a cheaper version of that shoe. Rather, this shoe was something special, in and of itself. At tempo speed, the shoe really perked up. the FlyteFoam Propel foam that I once thought a bit stiff was just the right amount of snappy yet cushioned. It could soak up the hard impact of speed work while still giving me enough underfoot to go the distance. In short, this is about as exciting as a shoe can get without a carbon fiber plate.
