I was tired of the spot where my trash cans set being an uneven mud hole. So, I built a pad for them to sit on using 16 inch concrete paver blocks. The main lessons learned were: 1.) Plan the depth of your hole such that your bocks are above the ground. I made my level with the ground, but wish I would have had them one inch higher. 2.) Use a weed barrier. I did it, but forgot to put it in the video. Place it between the gravel base and the sand. 3.) Use an edge piece. I have it in the video, but didn't go into details. But, buy the plastic edge pieces, measure out where they should go, and stake them in place. 4.) Have a place to dump the dirt. I pulled out five wheelbarrow loads of dirt. That's a lot of dirt for a 7 foot by 4 foot section.
