Tiny, Trapped in a Cage for Days – A Little Puppy Who Only Wants a Chance to Live and Be Loved! An urgent call came in about a tiny puppy with severe neurological issues. She was seen thrashing helplessly on the cold metal grate of a kennel, with no bedding, no warmth, and no comfort. Although they initially refused to surrender her, the next day she was finally released so she could receive help. At the hospital, tests revealed she was hypoglycemic, dehydrated, and likely suffering from hydrocephalus, along with abnormalities in her cerebellum. She couldn’t stand, had severe balance problems, and seemed partially blind. Yet despite everything, she was alert, determined, and clearly fighting to live. With immediate medication and intensive care, Tippy began to stabilize. She started eating eagerly, playing like a normal puppy, and waking up excited for each new day, though she still needed support to walk. Suddenly, her condition worsened. She developed severe neck pain and began having seizures. A CT scan confirmed hydrocephalus, a very small cerebellum, and a cyst, along with fluid affecting her spine. Doctors temporarily relieved the pressure in her brain, which brought quick improvement—but it was only a short-term solution. Eventually, Tippy underwent surgery to place a shunt to drain the excess fluid from her brain. The procedure was successful. Though she has two incisions and a long recovery ahead, the shunt is working and she is stable. Through every setback, Tippy kept eating, wagging her tail, and fighting. With her custom pink cart, she can stand proudly and experience the world. Her journey is far from over, but she has already overcome the worst. Tippy is a reminder that even the smallest, most fragile life is worth every effort. Love, dedication, and determination truly can change a life.
