10 years ago, a small group of trail runners gathered at Blue Lake in Rotorua, New Zealand, to see how many laps they could run in 24 hours. What began as a casual idea among friends has grown into one of NZ’s most iconic and inclusive ultra-running events. The Blue Lake 24 Hour Challenge is simple: one 6km loop, as many laps as you can in a day. There are no winners, no medals — just the challenge of testing yourself against time, the elements, and the legendary “Claw” (200km in 24 hours). In this film, we look back at how it all began, the spirit of the event, and why it continues to capture the hearts of runners, families, and the trail community after a decade. 📍 Location: Blue Lake, Rotorua, New Zealand 🏃 Event: Blue Lake 24 Hour Challenge (10th Anniversary) 🎥 A Find Your Feet Films Production
