Two people, a mother and her daughter, died when their house collapsed in the Sunderbani area of Rajouri district. Dozens of homes have been damaged due to heavy rains and landslides in the region. In Udhampur, a large landslide and sinking land have also damaged transmission towers, affecting power supply. Hundreds of vehicles, including trucks carrying essential supplies, are stranded on the highway, which was partially opened on Sunday after being closed for a week due to last week's heavy rains and floods. In the past three weeks, over 170 people have died in Jammu and Kashmir from landslides, cloudbursts, and other weather-related incidents. In the last 24 hours, heavy rainfall has hit most parts of Jammu and Kashmir, causing flash floods, landslides, and land sinking in several locations.
