I have prepared this video to mark when this channel reaches 1000 subscribers. I am so grateful for each of you becoming a subscriber and hope that you will continue to enjoy these LPs from the past. This is purely a labor of love for me - to help share my collection assembled over the last 40 years. As I have reached that time in life when it is time to give up possessions - this is also a way for me to remember the records that in many cases I donate to charity after posting. This particular recording is one of the best ever made. When you listen, you will not only hear instruments that sound exactly as they should, never muddied, or shrill. But we can also pick up the actual sounds of an orchestra playing. The click of keys, the friction of bows on strings, the rustle of the sheet music being turned, the creaking of the chairs and the conductors podium. In fact, even the sound of the ventilation system in the recording venue, Waterford Town Hall, can be heard running quietly in the background. So enjoy this exceptional LP, and a fantastic performance by the London Symphony Orchestra with Antal Dorati. And thanks again for subscribing. Movements - I will stick to what the record itself provides, and that is simply side 1 and 2. Side 1 starts at 00:00. Side 2 starts at 17:45 Details: Album title: Antal Dorati and the London Symphony Orchestra.
