Prince - Rest In Peace - RIP - Herbie FABULUS http://www.fabulus.ca/ It was my intention to make this song available to the general public on May 8th 2016 (mother's day), as a tribute to my late mother, father and a very close friend of mine that was more than a brother, best friend, father figure all in one. It is also my hope that this song will speak for others in their times of loss/grief as well. I wrote it from a very very personal place, as it was largely influence by my mother in particular, in a dream more than two yrs ago. It does also speaks to my feelings for the above mentioned. I hope that it will speak for others now and in the future as ALL inevitably will go through losses of love ones as well. With the passing of so many high profile individuals this year in the entertainment industry, is only fitting that the sentiment of this song be made available to be shared. As a young lad growing up in Pickering, Ontario,Canada, i can recall the many many young ladies of all ethnic background, who paid little attention to many boys, as they were so caught up with an upcoming artist by the name of Prince. I had no choice but to take notice of him. Over the subsequent years i grew to become an enormous admirer of not just his music, but his raw talent as a versatile musician. I have often told many people that he should not be overlooked as an instrumentalist. I particularly admire his guitar playing skills.The man is simply put, a musical genius. GIFTED. Out of respect and sincere appreciation for Prince's awesomeness,and vast contribution to not just the music world, but also to society in general, i am putting this song out immediately, to pay homage to him. He is the ONLY artist i would consider doing this for today.There are a small few more that are thankfully still with us.Others would include the late great Michael Jackson, Bob Marley and Dennis Emanuel Brown. They are in a class by themselves. I will therefore now let the song speak for me and hopefully many others. Thank you Prince for the EXCEPTIONAL gifts that you have given this world and ALL future generations to enjoy. NO ONE could have or will ever be able to say it or demonstrate it better.Thank you for positively influencing my musical journey and that of so many, countless others. Your work is done here.
