BMW is selling an $18 monthly subscription for customers to use the heated seats installed in their vehicles. The German automaker BMW says all vehicles will come equipped with the hardware for heated seats, but only customers who pay for the subscription will have access to the software to make them work. This new concept hasn't yet been rolled out in the U.S. but it has been spotted in South Korea. The $18 monthly subscription also has options for long-term agreements with lower prices. Customers have the option to buy one year at $180, three years for $300 or "unlimited" access for $415. According to The Verge, BMW has quietly put some features behind subscription paywalls.
