They were one of the first bands we filmed when we were just getting started. Since that time they played "Calculus" for us in a booth at Johnny Brenda's, we both went our separate ways. They continued to tour around the country, spreading their music to new ears while we continued to document different bands in different situations. We only crossed paths once and that was when we saw them play at Cheer Up Charlie's in Austin, TX, during SXSW. However, we managed to stay in touch via social media. This time around, we decided to take a walk around the neighborhood to find a location to shoot since we had already used the venue as a setting for them. We walked down Frankford Ave towards The Barbary and ducked down the street with all the old and new Land Rovers hanging around. If you live in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia, I'm sure you know where this is. You would think it was a Land Rover graveyard since there's never anyone around to lay claim to the vehicles. Just by chance, the garage door of this big building was open with two men standing outside. It turns out all those Land Rovers are out there because Skytop Rover is located there. Skytop is a repair shop and seller of vintage rovers. Once we asked the two kind gentleman outside the shop if we could shoot inside, we set up a chair for lead singer/guitairst Carlos Hernandez and got everything into place. They played us a very strip down, acoustic version of "Water Duct," a tune the band created and recorded right down the street at Miner Street Studios for our good friends at Weathervane and their fantastic series, Shaking Through.
