The new STIHL MSA 190 T top handle chainsaw offers arborists and tree work professionals a powerful battery-powered alternative to the petrol MS 194 T chainsaw. Like all tools in the AP System, the MSA 190 T cordless chainsaw has been developed with demanding daily use in mind while remaining lightweight, quiet and easy to maintain. The STIHL MSA 190 T chainsaw completes the line-up of three AP System cordless top handle chainsaws. The MSA 161 T is a popular choice for pruning jobs thanks to its lightweight design and ¼ inch Picco chain. At the top end of the range, the powerful MSA 220 T chainsaw is well suited to large reductions and removals. The new MSA 190 T sits in between the two battery powered chainsaw models and is suitable for a wide range of applications for maximum versatility. Weighing 3.2 kilograms (with chainsaw guide bar & chain, without battery), the MSA 190 T professional chainsaw is comfortable to use for long periods, and when used with the recommended AP 200 S battery, it is perfectly balanced too. To reduce the weight further, the AP Strop Adapter accessory can be used to transfer the weight of the battery to the operator’s harness. The STIHL MSA 190 T arborist chainsaw is equipped with the new Power Boost function, which automatically increases the maximum electrical output of the battery from 1.25 kilowatts to 1.5 kilowatts for a short time. This ensures the MSA 190 T can keep cutting through larger timber, reducing the likelihood of bogging down whilst doing a removal. This maximises the working time of the battery on jobs such as a crown reduction by not using the full available power unless you need it. A mechanical trigger system means that an electronic start button is not required, making the MSA 190 T simple to operate. This new STIHL cordless chainsaw is available in 12 inch or 14 inch versions and is equipped with the STIHL PS3 Pro 1.1mm chain. Compared to the standard STIHL PS3 chain, the PS3 Pro has up to 20% improved cutting performance and is less pressure sensitive when using the entire length of the chainsaw guide bar. Like many AP System battery-powered tools, the MSA 190 T battery powered chainsaw is quiet in operation, aiding communication between teams working on the ground and in the canopy. A long working time of up to 48 minutes with the STIHL AP 200 S battery ensures minimal disruption during the working day.
