Ian Harris is the president and CEO of Vynyl. Ian is an expert at bringing technology products and services to market. He has held management and executive roles in product management, product marketing, corporate development, and operations in consumer web, fintech, and cleantech. Previously, he was a member of the founding leadership team and executive committee of the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI). Ian served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve in Iraq and Afghanistan, where he was decorated for heroism in combat. Ian was also a staff member of Obama for America in 2008, helping to organize and win the state of Nevada. Dr. Hoda Mehrpouyan, PhD, is a member of the computer science faculty at the College of Engineering at Boise State University and the associate director of the Cyber Lab for Industrial Control Systems. Her research focuses in part on safeguarding Idaho elections; she has collaborated with Idaho Secretary of State on cybersecurity challenges in local elections. Dr. Mehrpouyan is the recipient of the 2019 National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER AWARD that will support her research. She received her bachelor's degree from British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), Canada, master's degree from Linkoping University, Sweden, and Ph.D. from Oregon State University, Oregon. Chad Houck is the chief deputy secretary of state for Idaho. Prior to working with the Secretary of State's office, Chad was a private consultant advising in operational and process improvements in the IT and commerce space. He has served on the Idaho Governor's Cybersecurity Task Force, and is currently participating in the development of an elections cybersecurity virtual tabletop training exercise (VTTX) with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, as well as multiple other state and federal agency collaborators.
