Huge cliffs, jagged rock peaks, and a quiet little forest that feels like it “pops up” out of nowhere. We spent the first night settling into camp and getting a feel for the place. The next morning I showed you the campsite and what you can expect if you come out here yourself, then we headed out for a walk to an area known as The Castles — exploring the rock formations and talking about how thousands of years of wind, rain, and snow carved this landscape into what it is today. Back at camp, the wind really started ripping, so I finally did a deep clean on the camper (because when it’s 30 below back home in Minnesota, that’s the last thing I’m doing 😅). Later we grilled up hamburgers, then finished the night around the campfire once the wind calmed down — just listening to the crackle and enjoying the quiet. The next morning, Toby and I went for another walk and caught one of those sunrises that stops you in your tracks. We didn’t see a single person the entire weekend — had the campground to ourselves — and it ended up being one of my top 10 favorite campgrounds I’ve ever stayed at. We will see you again next week. Until then, be kind, be honest, and Toby and I will see you down the road.
