This is yet another of my favorites of MCR(: If you guys are wondering what this song means and what it's about [ I have a feeling alot of you know ] then read this: Gerard Way, the lead singer of My Chemical Romance was there on the day 9/11 happened. He watched from the side lines as the planes flew into the towers. At the time, Gerard was writing comics [ I believe ] in his parents basement though he went to NYC to get a job for comics. Seeing the effects of the Twin Towers falling down, and watching the people jump from the burning building, influenced his life to the point where he wanted to start a band. Then a week later, My Chemical Romance was formed. Gerard wrote this to express his feelings when 9/11 happened. "Skylines and Turnstiles" is the first My Chemical Romance song.
