We learned the hard way during the Trump years that we have a serious problem regarding ethics in government. Several former Trump officials knew Donald Trump was committing crimes in office but they chose to conceal those crimes during their government service. Adding insult to injury, some of them then revealed Trump's crimes, corruption and abuse of office when they published books for profit. If we are ever to see a renaissance of ethics in government, the practice of concealing the federal crimes of others must change.
