IN SEARCH OF A LEGEND - (English Intro & Narration - 3 minute preview) In this documentary film, author and film-maker Bruno Scrobogna contemplates mysterious happenings in the Aboriginal Dreamtime which has influenced the religeous beliefs of the ancient Aboriginal nomads. After many journeys to the remote regions of Central Australia, he finally discovers inexplicable rock carvings dating back thousands of years. Are there Ancient Middle-Eastern links to the Australian Aboriginal Dreamtime? Bruno Scrobogna, a well known documentary filmmaker and author of several books came across a secret place in Australias desert which set a search in motion for more than four decades. He found evidence that more than 2,000 years ago, Semitic Nabataens set foot on Australian soil. They came to this mysterious rock waterhole in the Great Australian Desert and called it "Allatta" after their goddess. The Pintubis called the same place "Allalla". A 57 minute documentary film depicts the different stages and how he came to these amazing conclusions. This historical discovery is thanks to Brunos acquaintance with the Pintubi people and his friend Nospeg Jabaroola. Nosepeg's tribe accepted Bruno and called him brother "Baruno". To manifest their friendly feelings towards him, Bruno was given a Soul Stone, and was almost one of them without having to go through the usual painful initiation ritual. Carvings discovered to be from further back in time seem to depict strange looking giants. The Pintubis called them "Mammo Pulkas" meaning The Inexplicable". These people believed that strange creatures had come from the stars to give their ancestors their "Old Law", so said my Pintubi friend "Nosepeg".
