In a market like this, buyers don’t really have a lot of power to ask for concessions or repairs from sellers, which can be a problem from an underwriting standpoint where lenders have safety and soundness guidelines we must meet. So buyers and sellers are agreeing to escrow money at closing for necessary repairs to be made.
